Ultimate Eco-Bike

Bike are a fantastic green way to travel. They’re emissions free, cheap, and you can park them pretty much anywhere.
But what if you want to go a bit further than the corner store?
Scooters and other motorized bicycles are great for this, but the ohm XU450 Urban Electric Bike blows them all away.
This high-tech bike is 100% electric, and comes with a whole slew of cool high-tech features. The console provides a maximum speed control, as well as an “electric peddle assistance” mode (hybrid bicycle perhaps?)
It also comes complete with head and tail lights, front and rear hydraulic brakes, “Shimano” shift control, front and rear fenders, and a lockable storage compartment.
The motor is a “maintenance-free BionX 250W motor / with 450 Watt peak power and re-generative braking to charge the battery”. As for the battery, it’s a lithium-ion 38V 9Ah battery. This is reportedly not affected by memory issues.
While it’s rather expensive, at $2875, it’s still quite cheap compared to a car and gas. Gas money definitely ads up!

I just picked up a Vatavio and the thing wails! 20 mph w/o peddling… pretty sweet. It also sits in a much more comfortable price range, less than $1600. The icing on the cake is that it is collapsible… it folds up 10 seconds and can be brought on trains, planes, etc.
Highly recommended!
wow this is so cool… its a bit expensive. i guess its worth it though.
