I just picked up a Vatavio and the thing wails!  20 mph w/o peddling... pretty sweet.  It also sits in a much more comfortable price range, less than $1600.  The icing on the cake is that it is collapsible... it folds up 10 seconds and can be brought on trains, planes, etc.
