Tomorrow: PARK(ing) Day

Parking Day 1

Treehugger is reporting tomorrow, Friday, Sept.21 as PARK(ing) day.

PARK(ing) day is a movement to “rethink the way streets are used and reinforces the need for urban open space”.

All day tomorrow people around the world will be paying for parking spaces, and converting them into small urban green spaces for the public to enjoy.

Park Day 2

They’ll be collecting pictures of urban parks all day tomorrow, and if you’re involved send a couple pictures this way as well!

There’s no special forms to fill out, no registration or name tags. Just go out into your city, pay for some parking and set up a park! You can get some benches and trees, invite everyone to stop by.
